Stephen Gilbert is a qualified management accountant with over 23 years of experience in the financial services industry. At FundBank, Stephen is responsible for the financial reporting and operations of the bank, ensuring that the bank’s financial statements and regulatory returns are accurate, timely, and comply with all relevant regulatory requirements. Stephen works closely with FundBank’s Risk Management and Banking Operations and Custody Teams, providing them with financial support and guidance.
Prior to joining FundBank, Stephen spent 12 years at Waystone in the role of Finance Manager, where he provided the CEO and Head of Operations with detailed revenue analysis and reporting for Waystone’s Cayman Islands and US regions. Previously, Stephen held the role of Management Accountant for State Street Global Advisors in London.
Stephen started his career as an Accountant with Charteris & Barnes in South Africa before relocating to London where he held a number of senior accounting roles for a period of 7 years before relocating to the Cayman Islands.
Stephen holds a BComm (Honours) in Accounting from the University of Natal in Durban and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA/CGMA).
