John Bruton is Vice President of Finance at FundBank and brings with him over 15 years of financial experience gained both in the UK and the Cayman Islands. In his role, John provides leadership for the finance department and oversees all financial operations and reporting for FundBank. In his capacity as Director of Finance, John spearheads the finance department and plays a pivotal role in ensuring the bank’s financial stability and performance.
John is a member and appointed chairperson of the Asset & Liability Management Committee (ALCO) for FundBank, which is responsible for ensuring that the bank has adequate liquidity and capital.
Prior to joining FundBank, John was a Financial Controller at Dart Enterprises, a prominent global organization headquartered in the Cayman Islands, where he was responsible for the financial reporting and control of a diverse portfolio of group entities. Prior to that he spent five years at Waystone (previously DMS Governance) in the role of Financial Controller. Johns’ finance career began in the UK with the audit firm Baker Tilly before transitioning to the financial services sector with Lloyds Banking Group Plc.
John holds an ACA qualification, as a Chartered Accountant recognized by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). John also graduated from the University of West of England with a BA (Hons) in Business Studies.
