Matthew Bloomer

Matthew Bloomer is Head of Transaction Services at FundBank (Europe) S.A., responsible for overseeing the bank’s operational functions across banking, payments, custody, trading, reconciliation, and reporting. He brings over 25 years of experience in Luxembourg’s financial services sector, with deep expertise in operational leadership and transaction processing.

Matthew joined FundBank in December 2024. Prior to this, he was Head of Cash Transaction Services at Banque Havilland S.A., where he led the bank’s back-office cash operations. He previously held the role of Head of Securities Transaction Services at the same institution during its earlier iteration as Kaupthing Bank Luxembourg S.A.

Between his two tenures at Banque Havilland, Matthew served as Head of Operations at Öhman Bank S.A., where he managed end-to-end back-office operations. He began his career in fund administration and custody at State Street Bank Luxembourg in 2000, supporting major institutional clients including Goldman Sachs investment funds.

Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science with Honours from the University of Greenwich, London, and a Capital Markets and Financial Instruments Certificate (CAMFIN) from the International Capital Market Association.
