Mark Taylor

Mark Taylor is an accomplished technology leader with over two decades of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud architecture, and cybersecurity across diverse sectors including financial services, government, and high-end retail.

Originally from Glasgow, Scotland, Mark began his career in the British Army before moving into IT in 2001. He has since built a global career delivering enterprise technology solutions, with deep technical expertise and a strong track record in leading digital transformation initiatives.
As Head of IT – Cayman at FundBank, Mark oversees the development and execution of the Bank’s technology strategy across its Cayman operations. He is responsible for ensuring the integrity, security, and scalability of IT systems, while aligning infrastructure to regulatory frameworks and the evolving needs of clients.

Mark holds an extensive suite of industry-leading certifications, including Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect, and Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator Expert. His experience spans cloud migrations, Zero Trust security architecture, Microsoft 365 and Azure implementations, and regulatory compliance assessments, particularly in line with CIMA standards.

Relocating to the Cayman Islands in 2019, Mark has since been instrumental in raising the standard of IT operations and resilience in the region. Known for his strategic mindset and hands-on technical leadership, he also brings a strong commitment to team development and operational excellence.

Outside of FundBank, Mark is a dedicated athlete who completed the London Marathon for Cancer Research UK and regularly trains for Hyrox competitions.
